Increasing Conversions with a Mobile-Friendly Website
Despite increasing numbers of visitors using mobile to access their website, Park Lane Orthodontics were experiencing trouble with high bounce rates when its website was accessed via mobile devices (that is, many users were exiting the same page they landed on without exploring elsewhere on the website).
Generate UK were appointed to create a new mobile-friendly site that would include the right level of information and images to improve the overall mobile user experience and encourage users to enquire or call. The existing website already had a strong SEO visibility so it was important to carry over this value onto the mobile website.
We also needed to ensure that reducing the imagery and information did not alienate any of the target audience. Following a content audit, we developed new streamlined copy, using bullet points to make it more mobile friendly, with clear calls to action and content to encourage enquiries. Google’s Page Speed Insight tools were used to monitor and improve performance.
Following the project delivered by Generate UK, Park Lane Orthodontics’ mobile website now achieves 100/100 user experience (according to Google’s Page Speed Insight tool). As well as improving the user experience, improving Park Lane Orthodontics’ website speed time also had a positive effect on SEO.
